Why I love YaadonKaIdiotBox?

Thanks to Sravanthi but it has got me hooked to this amazing program called YaadonKaIdiotBox.

One of the first things that I have enjoyed in the show is Hindi. After a long time, I am getting to listen to hindi, I mean proper Hindi program and that too on radio!!!
Well that's definitely another big reason why I love this show. I get to listen to the program as well as work.

The voice of the radio jockey, Neelesh Misra is absolutely honey. The sweetness with which he explains the emotions in the story is absolutely mind blowing. It only makes you want to listen to more stories.

The way he describes the things as well, the sounds that are created in the background, keeping the events in the story in mind, that is simply amazing.

And yes, definitely topping the list would be the story! I get to hear some amazing stories from one of the most beautiful place on this earth, Yaad Sheher. I know it doesn't exist :P, but so what the place is great and so are the stories.

It has rekindled the emotions that were almost forgotten in the busy life that I have been leading.
Thanks Neelesh and thank You Yaad Sheher :).

p.s. I so loved the stories that I bought the first 2 volumes of the book and am definitely going to buy the future volumes as well.

Who am I?

Yesterday when I went to the doctor, his diagnosis was that I was under some mental stress. I laughed it off, saying that is obvious once the girl is married. Amma was her sentimental stuff, to the outside world, she seems happy and jovial, but I know she is thinking about too many things deep down.

Today morning at the breakfast table also, Dad was telling me that my son doesn't talk to people if any one approaches him. He only talks to people he knows. Somewhere he has got my habits and to some extent, my dad. And my dad continued into the nostalgia that I never used to speak to people other than the children in my neighborhood. My husband is just not like that. He speaks to everyone.

That got me thinking, who am I?
My dad was talking about me being reserved during my childhood. Only in my high school did I speak to a lot of people, I do mean a lot. Then again now, I do not talk to a lot of people at work. Its only professional discussion that I usually indulge in. Otherwise, I prefer staying in my own shell, doing my own "lot of" stuff.

But at the same time, I have couple of great friends, who have been there in thick times as well. It has so happened that I do not end up sharing every minutest detail, not sure whether they share theirs or not.

In my previous company, I made some amazing friends before and after marriage. Of course, I did lose touch with some as well. But the ones I am still in touch with, they are real good with me.

OK, to cut the long story short, I was thinking, what exactly was my personality type!!
Am I an introvert since I like to stay within myself, or am I a gregarious person who loves to be with people!!
At home, I am not sure if I mingle with everyone. Definitely never at all times!!!
I don't know, its all so confusing!!!

Hyderabad awakened !!!

I have been living at my parent's place ever since my mother-in-law went out of station. Among the many great things of staying at mother's place after marriage :), travelling to work and back seems like a small pinch. But, someone should be there to take care of my son, and so the destination changes.

Anyways, today when I was travelling to work by my favorite 127 K/V bus, one of the first things I noticed was the khakhi everywhere. Every road the bus went by, I could see khakhi-colored uniform clad men. With and without their guns and lathis, the looks on their faces did seem that they are there and alert.

I observed them on some of the main junctions like Koti and Abids. But after that, unknowingly, I started noticing them on every road. It was nice to seem these men on the roads, vigilant and spirited.

Finally, I felt the people and government has awakened, realizing their duties and doing it. Or was it me???

Aashayein

kuch paane ki hoti hai aas, aur uske liye karte hain hum har mushkil ko paar,
lekin kyun hoti hai aashaoon ko tootne ki zaroorat,
aur chur chur hoti hai apni himmat!!!

mehnat agar kare kam toh do gaali,
varna toh mat bhejo hamein yun khali..

aas hai isliye hai ummeed
kuch apna bhi bhala hoga...
mehnat kabhi toh rang layegi.
apna bhi kuch na kuch mukaam hoga.
hogi apni bhi thdi prashansa..
apne kaam ka bhi zara naam hoga!!!

My Trip to Vizag - part 2 contd...

Pics and what pics...anywhere and everywhere we could think of...the best one being all of us sitting in the middle of the road.
Vamsi was as usual at his best, posing at the most creative of all places...

After Simhachalam...our next halt was for Kailashgiri...It is a magnificent place...with extraordinary view...the idols of Siva-Parvathi encompassing the place showing sheer dominance in a way that commanded respect from everyone who visitied the place.

The Bay of Bengal looked absolutely beautiful...the waves hitting the shore trying to show their strength and the shore trying its best not to let the waves over power them in any way...it was actually thrilling to sit on the top of a hill and watch the entire scene.
We had some amazing time, the photographs that were taken were among the best and of course a part of the most cherishable memories of the trip!!!

By then our stomachs were grumbling with hunger,,,so lunch was what we stopped for, the next time.
After lunch, all of us were in a kind of siesta mood, and the place we visited was also somewhat like that...Vizag museum!!! Frankly speaking, I hardly must have seen anything closely there.

But what was exciting was the Submarine museum...a museum inside a submarine explaining how exactly a submarine looks like, how it works and all. That was one thing that woke me up from the sleepy brain that I had at that time!!!

By the time we came out from the museum, it was time for some REAL fun...so what did we do???
Run to the beach...what else!!! The water was calling...how could we stop??? We ran...we played...and boy...we enjoyed!!!

Two solid hours of fun and masti later everyone was dead tired and full of sand...eekksss...so some ice creams later and of course some pics later :) we headed back to the hotel, to rest for the day!!!

But yes couldnt sleep before calculating the expenditure...Thanks Vamsi for sitting through with that!!!

After a very tiring day, while the others played cards, I was off to my world of dreams...

My Trip to Vizag - part 2

The second day began at 5:00 a.m. Donno why but couldnt sleep much. I got up and woke up others too!!! Quickly got ready for Vizag...went to wake up other friends too.

We reached the station and boarded autos to reach the hotel. It was a nice cosy one (Help me with the name plz). As usual, there was a fussle over who would take which room. After some discussion, we got into our rooms to freshen up and get ready for the day.

Everyone got ready by 10 after which we went for breakfast. I literally hated the place where we ate but the food was good. The tea was very refreshing. Vamsi had already arranged for a cab when we came for breakfast so we quickly filled our stomachs and got back into the cab.

Our first halt was Simhachalam. The temple was to close by 12. So we had to hurry. En route, we saw the Vizag naval base, from far of course, the fishing area...the stench ufff!!!! and the Vizag jail. The temple is over a hill. So the view from the hill was mind blowing. A quick darshan and losing sight of Chandana, Kamal and Sandeep, eating horrible ice cream....after all these...we all were in a mood of nothing but taking snaps!!!

My trip to Vizag - part 1

Its been over a year since I have been working. There have been short trips to my dad, but no trip has been a true holiday. But this one was...
Celebrating successful completion of one year in the company, my batch mates decided to plan a trip to a place that was near and beautiful, and a place that could be truly enjoyed and Vizag seemed to be the perfect place.
There was a lot of initial apprehension about the trip, if we would be able to go or not...how many of us would turn up...and all!! But finally 2 mails and loads of persuasion later, a total of 10 people agreed to come for the trip.
The trip was scheduled on 22 Nov 2007 finally. All of us took leave on 23 Nov.
DAY 1:
The day started on a tensed note. We realised at the last moment that one of our friend's ticket was booked on a different train. That had to be cancelled and another ticket for our train had to be booked. All the tickets were with a friend who was nowhere to be seen. Till lunch, we could not meet her. Finally when we did meet her, I simply grabbed the tickets from her and gave them for cancellation.
Our return journey tickets were still not confirmed. None of us had any idea as to how we were planning to come back. But all of us did have one thing in mind, we were going on this trip!!!!
Few of my friends went back to their places to get their luggage. So another tension for us, if they would come on time. But they did.
Surprise of the day: My sis came back to see me off at the station. It was very nice of her to do that.
The train started and my friends, all got into doing something I believe they love in common, playing cards. Ahhh yes!!! I forgot to mention, our seats were scattered. Of the 9 tickets that we had, 6 were at one place and 3 at the other. So all of us were adjusting at one place, in the same coupe` and hey that was fun too!!!
I somehow dont really enjoy playing cards, so I was writing my diary and listening to music. Also to some extent I did what I love the mst when I am on journeys - standing near the door. I am so much with myself at that time.
We all had an early dinner. We did take many snaps too. But none of us could sleep before 11. And I did around 12. Got down at Vijayawada and Guntur stations.
And that is the end of day 1.
